| A Web site hosted by Jim DeRogatis and Darryl Audette (with advice and guidance from the grand master himself, Sheperd Paine) devoted to showcasing, celebrating, and discussing the art of the box diorama. Visit us now at www.boxdioramas.com! What you’ll find: Articles, interviews, and history on the box diorama; links useful to box-diorama makers; news, including upcoming shows where boxes will be on display (there will be at least six at the MMSI Chicago Show in October); a place to comment, ask questions, and hold discussions of this unique form of modeling, and of course artists’ galleries. Among our initial contributors: Barry Biediger, Mike Blank, Dave Browne, Bill Horan, Nick Infield, Dennis Levy, John Schley, Marijn Van Gils. Plus, you’ ll find classic boxes from Ray Anderson, Roy Anderson, Reginald Franklin, Shep Paine, Theodore Pitman, Hans Reuters & Gregg Volke, and Peter Twist. And we plan to add much, much more. What’s more, we want to highlight YOUR work! Check out the site and submit your pictures, ideas, links, and anything else you’d like to contribute to make this the premiere Web site for the art of the box diorama. |
