Meet Shane Ogden Our

Shane Ogden came to us 3 1/2 years ago
from Ocala Florida. Shane started his
career in the thoroughbred world next to
his father and other great trainers. He
found his calling in the western
performance horse world and left the
race world.
" I didn't like seeing young horses
push as hard as they could go just for
money. There is no reason for it, It
should be more about the welfare of the
horse not the money."
He takes his time and really gets the
most out of his horses.

" You know when you are working with these great animals
you cant have a time table. They are like a child, you would
ask a 10 year old to go to college would you so why ask a
young horse?"
We were amazed to see Shane teaching a horse to load onto a
trailer. Shane spent hours waiting out the horse. Never once
getting mad or wiping the horse. He just sat on the lead rope
and waited for the horse to move forward. The horse loaded
so much better after that.
" I was taught old school horsemanship from my father. I have
tried other ways and found that works better for me. If you
scare a horse in to doing something do you really expect him
to want to do it again?"
If your looking to get the most from your horse Shane will
teach you and your horse. Shane gives lessons five days a
week Tue-Sat and 9 am till 7 pm.
His training program is 5 days a week after the first two week.
The first two weeks are spent getting to know the horse and
three days training.
