This particular addition blends perfectly with the existing structure. Other than the change in windows it is nearly impossible to tell the old part from the new. Combine the large great room with the eat in kitchen pictured below right, and the home has the modern conveniences and room layout to match today's lifestyles. Victorian style wood trims were custom milled to match the existing moldings and complement the new windows beautifully (See photo below). Railings adorning the new staircase were built to match the railings on the existing stairs and complete the blending between the new and old (railings pictured down below). The old stained glass windows were salvaged from the existing structure to match the stain glass details in the old section of the property (see picture below). |
