This particular kitchen was showing its age with oak cabinetry stained light blue, and older appliances. It had three doorways entering into it which severely limited the space available for cabinetry since it is only 11' x 11'. We closed in one of the doors which allowed you to see in from the main entryway to the house. After hiding the kitchen from the entryway and living rooms, we removed the wall separating the kitchen and dining room to help the small rooms feel more open. New maple cabinetry, can lighting and a skylight added the touches that make this kitchen the modern definition of functional and the centerpiece of this home. |
